How will Open Play sign-ups work?
We’ll send a monthly sign-up form (think SignUpGenius) with all Open Play dates for the month.
- All Access Members receive sign-up access 48 hours before General Members.
- General Members can register once their window opens.
Here’s what to expect:
- First-come, first-served: Seats fill as members sign up.
- Waitlists available: Join the waitlist—spots often open!
- Variety of days & times: Sessions rotate to suit different schedules.
Please don’t stress if a date fills up. Just like inviting 100 guests to a wedding and expecting 70, it all balances out—everyone gets their seat at the table over time.
A serious but simple reminder:
If you claim a seat and can’t attend, you must remove your name.
- Three no-shows without removing yourself may result in removal from the club.
- Dues are non-refundable, so please be courteous to fellow players.
When does membership start and end?
Membership runs for the 2026 calendar year.
Do I need to be an expert player?
Not at all! Familiarity with American Mahjong is recommended, but enthusiasm counts just as much as experience.
Can I upgrade from General to All Access later?
If space allows, we’ll do our best to accommodate upgrades early in the season.
What is the Mahjy Mahjy Vacay?
Our signature annual getaway for members only—created to escape the hustle, relax, and play mahjong from sunup to sundown.

Please note: The Vacay is an additional cost. Full details will be shared well in advance so you can plan, pack, and prepare for tile nirvana.
Is there a Code of Play?
Yes, we believe a few simple rules will keep the tiles—and the vibes—flowing smoothly.
- Be Punctual Try to be on time. Arriving late happens, but it throws off the whole table rhythm—and nobody wants to be that player.
- Be Kind We play with tiles, not tempers. Encourage others, play graciously, and remember: the real win is a great game night.
- Be Present (Phones Away!) Once you’re at the table, it’s mahjong time. We know you will have to look at your phone occasionally, but please silence and stash phones—texts and TikToks can wait.
- Respect the Seat You Claim If you sign up, show up. Can’t make it? Remove your name so someone else can play. Three no-shows without removal may result in club removal (dues are non-refundable).
